Aerospace Engineering

The course enables the candidate to explore in depth in the field of aircraft avionics systems and focuses on developing talented engineers in the field of new aircraft technologies and business management skills. The curriculum mainly includes topics in Avionics viz., Navigation, Communication, display and management of multiple systems of aircraft. This course also includes seminar, projects and practical tests. The students also undergo a unique Flight lab course at IIT Kanpur during the course. Working in the aerospace engineering subspecialty field of avionics, avionics engineers will design and develop aircraft and spacecraft avionic instrumentation. They also conduct research to address problems associated with flight safety systems, landing gear and electronic navigation systems.

Eligibility : B.E / B.Tech in Aeronautical / Aerospace / Mechanical / Civil, AM AeSI / AMIE in Civil / Mechanical with not less than 50% in aggregate with GATE / PG (CET) score.

Duration : 2 Years (4 Semesters)

Selection Criteria : JET Entrance Test and interview performance.
