The research programs leading to Ph.D. at the School of Aerospace Engineering, IIAEM resulted from the vision of “Aviation Safety� as a part of aerospace design and computational / experimental activities.

Topics that include

1. Remaining life estimation of thin walled airframe and joints using principles of fracture mechanics, health monitoring of aircraft engine, avionics and systems.
2. Simulation with Digital Twins
3.  Characteristics of high and room temperature materials and manufacture of composites.

Low Reynolds number aerodynamics and autonomous flights are research areas on micro-air vehicles.  Avionics and control group is working on smart sensors, wireless technologies and Space borne altimetry for Tsunami monitoring.

Eligibility : Masters Degree with not less than 55% of marks in the relevant or related subjects from recognized University.

Duration : 3 to 4 Years

Selection Criteria : Based on the synopsis of research area & entrance examination performance.
