These fully equipped labs are designed to inspire and ensure you have an exceptional educational journey.

The Propulsion Lab at IIAEM is equipped with the following experimental setups for the UG curriculum:

• Forced convection over a flat plate.
• Natural convection over an aerofoil.
• Subsonic nozzle flow.
• Free jet and wall jet.
• Twin-blade propeller test rig.
• Low-speed cascade wind tunnel.
• Measurement of burning velocity.

Flow parameters such as velocity, pressure, temperature and flow rate are measured. Velocity is measured using an anemometer; pressure is measured using either wall taps or pitot tubes in association with different manometers; temperature is measured using a thermal transducer; and flow rate is calculated using orifice meters.
