Dr. Chenraj Roychand, a distinguished Indian educationist, entrepreneur, great investor, innovator and philanthropist with over 40 years of experience, is the Chancellor of JAIN (Deemed-to-be University). Along with creating educational opportunities, Dr. Roychand also initiated in investing for firms, which provide the platform for youngsters to become entrepreneurs. He was conferred the Degree of Doctor of Literature (Honoris Causa) for his contribution to social work, education and philanthropy by the Mangalore University, Karnataka. He is also the governing board member of prestigious Institute of Rural Development Management Anand (IRMA). He is also involved in welfare driven, meticulously conceived projects focusing on health care, education, sustainable livelihood, and social causes that distinctively impact the quality of life.
With a teaching background spanning over 27 years, along with 13 years of research experience, Dr. Hariprasad has published 109 papers in international and national journals/conferences. He has also authored a textbook on "Advanced Microprocessors". Dr. Hariprasad has held many eminent ranks in other academic institutions and was the Director for Cognitive Science, RVCE; Vice-principal, BMSIT; Pro-Vice-Chancellor-Dayananda Sagar University; Academic mentor for DSCE and DSATM. He has established industry-supported labs and served as a visiting professor at various reputed colleges in Bengaluru. Dr. Hariprasad has also delivered expert talks in conferences and workshops in embedded systems and microwave engineering domains. He is a recipient of several awards, including the best teacher for publishing international conference papers and textbooks.
He has headed several projects for various government funding agencies and is an inspiring mentor, influencer for various PG and UG projects. Dr. Hariprasad is currently guiding Ph.D. students at the University. Under his tutorship, seven students have received their Ph.D. titles, with eight more students pursuing their degrees.
